We have made
it as easy as possible by giving you a variety of ways by which
to sign up. Possibly the most convenient method is to download
the appropriate forms from our “Applications Area”, complete
them in full and either fax, mail or bring them in personally.

What are the requirements to becoming an
agency nurse?
To become an
agency nurse for First Choice, you must be a graduate of an
accredited healthcare professional program in the United States
or Canada. You must also have one year of clinical experience in
a hospital setting.

Am I under any obligation after sending in my
application?
Absolutely
not! Your application is simply used to process and qualify you
for assignments so when you’re ready, then we’re ready for you.
Then you can work when and where you want.

What happens after I have completed my
application?
You are
actively entered into our registry and based upon your expertise
and upon your request, we will notify you of the positions that
are available in your area. You can then decide what’s best for
you.

How do I get assignments?
In order to
obtain an assignment, all you have to do is call and let us know
that you are ready to start working and give us an idea of
exactly what you are looking for. Based upon your experience and
desires, we will assign you to a position for which you are
well-suited.

What are the pay rates?
Pay rates are
dependent on the facility and location where you work but
typically for RN’s range from $33.00 to $39.00 dollars per hour
and for LPN’s from $23.00 to $29.00 per hour.

How do I get paid?
Payroll is processed every week. Paychecks can be picked up in
our office or sent to you via 1st class mail.

What types of assignments are available?
A) There are a
wide variety of assignments available across the state of GA.
Assignments are available in your area. Just let us no what you
are looking for and we will find the position that’s right for
you.
B) We have
contract assignments and we also have per diem assignments. You
can work when you want and where you want. The choice is yours!

Am I considered an Employee or Independent
Contractor?
You are an Employee of First Choice, which
means we withhold and pay all employee taxes on your behalf.

Do you pay overtime?
Yes, overtime is paid anytime you work over
40 hours in a week period.

Do you offer referral
bonuses?
Yes, refer us a R.N. or L.P.N. and after
that person works 4 shifts, you will receive a $200 bonus per
person referral.

What does Joint Commission
certification mean to me?
The joint commission has awarded their
Certificate of Distinction to First choice. this means our
promise to you of delivering quality services now comes with an
added guarantee - we meet or exceed the standard for the
industry.
